PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. – The Auburn women's golf team closed out the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge on Tuesday with a 294 (+10), their lowest round of the tournament, and finished 10th among the 16-team field.
The Tigers started fast as Anna Foster and Mychael O'Berry each birdied their first hole. Megan Schofill made a birdie on three of her first four holes to start the round. As a team, including individual Julie McCarthy, they made a total of 13 birdies in the third round.
O'Berry and Schofill led the way with four each. O'Berry fired a 71 (E), the low round of the day for Auburn and the team's second-lowest round of the tournament. The senior jumped 15 spots on the leaderboard where she finished in a tie for 47th at 11-over. Schofill finished tied for 30th at 8-over after carding a 3-over 74 in the final round.

Despite shooting a 79 (+8) in the final round, McCarthy was still the team's top finisher after back-to-back rounds of 68 and 72 to begin the week. At 6-over, the senior closed out the event in a tie for 23rd, earning her second top-25 finish of the season.
