HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – It was moving day at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate on Tuesday and with a team round of 285 (+1), the Auburn women's golf team moved up six spots into sixth place heading into the final round.

No Auburn player shot worse than 2-over on the day, and at 1-over as a team, the Tigers recorded the third best score of the 17 teams on hand in the second round.

"It was great to see all five players in the mix today," Auburn head coach Melissa Luellen said. "So many great shots and opportunities. To only make six birdies and shoot +1 on a difficult course is impressive. This round reminded our team how good they are."

The trio of Anna Foster, Mychael O'Berry and Elina Sinz all fired a 71 (E) on Tuesday. Foster moved up into the top 10 individually and is now tied for ninth through the first two rounds at 1-over. It was the sophomore's 13th round at par or better on the season.

O'Berry and Sinz finished with the same score in each of the first two rounds (76-71) and are currently tied for 28th overall. O'Berry leads all players in the field with 30 pars made while Sinz's second round was highlighted by back-to-back birdies on the back nine. The duo is +5 through the first 36 holes.

Junior Megan Schofill is a stroke ahead of O'Berry and Sinz at 4-over, putting her in a tie for 24th leaderboard. Schofill carded a 1-over 72 on Tuesday.

It was a bounce back day for Kaleigh Telfer who shot a 73 (+2), six strokes better than her first-round score. The senior is tied for 62nd overall.

Wake Forest was the only team to shoot under par Tuesday and took the lead at 3-over (571). The rest of the top 10 includes Arizona State (577), Baylor (578), Texas (579), Alabama (579), Auburn (583), South Carolina (587), Arkansas (589), LSU (592) and Georgia (592).

Auburn is scheduled to tee off the final round at 9:30 a.m. CT and will be paired with Texas and Alabama. Live scoring can be found on Golfstat.com. You can also watch the Tigers close out the round on Golf Channel with coverage beginning at 1:30 p.m. CT.
