AUBURN, Ala. – Coming off conference opening weekend, Auburn (14-6) will look to get back in the win column with an in-state midweek matchup against South Alabama (15-3) Tuesday. First pitch at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.

The Tigers are 80-25 (.762) against non-conference opponents in the regular season since the start of the 2018 season, including 44-14 (.759) on the weekend. 
 
Auburn has won three straight meetings against South Alabama, but the Jaguars are 50-27 in the all-time series.
 
Tuesday's game begins a stretch of eight games away from home in the next two weeks. Sixteen of Auburn's last 17 games have been played at Plainsman Park.

South Alabama enters the week with a 15-3 overall record, riding a seven-game win streak and having won 14 of its last 15 contests.
 
The Jaguars swept UT Arlington and outscored the Mavericks 35-10 in the Sun Belt opener last weekend.
 
Offensively, South Alabama is hitting .294 as a team and is led by Miles Simington's .455 clip, which ranks 16th in the NCAA.
 
On the mound, the Jaguars rank in the top 10 in the country in ERA (2.64), hits allowed per nine innings (6.20) and WHIP (1.05).
