In 1997, Auburn softball competed in its inaugural season. Throughout the 2022 campaign, we are celebrating the many faces, moments and victories that have shaped our program over the last 25 years.
As part of our 25 Years of Auburn Softball celebration, we're checking in with alumni from every era of the program to share their memories of being a Tiger.
Putting the student in student-athlete, Katie Colton (2008-2011) was a four-time SEC Academic Honor Roll selection. The Yucaipa, Calif., native also graduated Magna Cum Laude with her degree in marketing.

Colton: As a team, beating No. 4 Georgia two out of three games my senior season. Individually, making a sliding catch against the wall in the SEC Tournament against Florida and us ultimately winning that game.

Colton: Being named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll all four years and graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Colton: Gosh … probably all the pregame braiding of hair 🤣
Q: Looking back at your career, what is one word you'd use to describe it?

Colton: My degree was marketing. I left the retail world to become a stay-at-home mom while running a little business and giving softball lessons in the evenings.
