AUBURN, Ala. – Opening Southeastern Conference play with back-to-back series wins for the first time since 2019, Auburn softball (26-2, 5-1 SEC) saw movement in all four major national polls.
 
Auburn rose two spots to N0. 18 in both the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 as well as the Softball America Collegiate Top 25. Rising one spot, Auburn also claimed a No. 18 ranking in the latest USA Today/NFCA Coaches poll. With a clean sweep on the No. 18 ranking, Auburn fell on spot in D1 Softball's Top 25.
 
In the latest NCAA Division I RPI Rankings, Auburn fell just outside the top 10 at No. 11.

In a hard-fought battled that featured a pair of extra-inning contests, Auburn earned its first series win over South Carolina since 2017. Auburn currently stands on top of the SEC standings with a 5-1 record in league action. The Tigers rank second in the SEC in runs scored, doubles, triples and third in slugging and home runs.
 
Auburn has slugged 45 home runs through its first 28 games this season, more than doubling its 2021 home run total. It is the most home runs by an Auburn team through 28 games since the 2015 team hit 53. Auburn currently ranks. Its 45th home runs this season currently stands as the 10th most in a single season in program history.
 
Oklahoma remains the unanimous No. 1 team in the country for the sixth consecutive week. A total of nine SEC programs were rankings, including No. 4 Alabama, No. 6 Florida, No. 8 Kentucky, No. 10 Arkansas, No. 15 Tennessee, No. 17 Georgia, No. 21 Missouri, and No. 22 LSU.
