Braves Trophy Tour makes stop at Plainsman Park for midweek matchup vs. Jacksonville State

AUBURN, Ala. – Coming off a road series win at Texas A&M, Auburn (17-7) returns to Plainsman Park to host Jacksonville State (11-11) Tuesday at 6 p.m. CT.

Tuesday's game is a part of the Atlanta Braves World Champions Trophy Tour. Fans will be able to have their picture taken with the World Series Trophy when gates open at 5 p.m.

The trophy will be located under the overhang of the Josh Donaldson Hitting Lab, and fans who wish to get their picture taken are encouraged to enter the gate down the right field line. A shuttle from the parking lot behind home plate will be available for those who need assitance getting to the player development facility.
 
The game will be broadcast on the Auburn Sports Network and can be heard locally on 93.9 FM. It is also available for streaming on SEC Network+.

Auburn is 5-0 in midweek games this season and has outscored opponents 59-24.
 
The Tigers are hitting .356 as a team with eight players hitting .333 or higher in the midweek.
 
Leadoff hitter Blake Rambusch is currently riding a 14-game hitting streak, the longest by an Auburn player since 2017, and is hitting .450 with 14 runs, six doubles, one triple, one home run and 15 RBI during the span.
 
Rambusch has multiple hits in a team-best 13 games, including seven of the last eight. He is tied for the league lead and ranks 13th in the country with 40 hits.
 
Sonny DiChiara leads the country with a .609 on-base percentage. He also ranks fourth in slugging (.935) and seventh in average (.452).
 
Jordan Armstrong is scheduled to make his fourth start of the season, including his first since Mar. 11 and first in the midweek.
 
The Tigers are 81-25 (.764) against non-conference opponents in the regular season since the start of the 2018 season. 
 
Auburn is 23-17 all-time against Jacksonville State, including 19-14 at Plainsman Park.
 
Last year's meeting resulted in a walk-off win in the 10th inning for the Tigers.
 SCOUTING THE GAMECOCKS 
Jacksonville State enters the week with an 11-11 overall record and 6-0 record to start ASUN play.
 
The Gamecocks have won seven of the last eight games and are coming off a sweep against North Alabama.
 
Offensively, the Gamecocks are hitting .249 as a team and are led by junior outfielder TJ Reeves' .372 clip. Reeves leads the team in hits, runs, RBI and stolen bases.
 
On the mound, Jacksonville State has turned in a 4.90 ERA with a .288 average against. Sophomore righty Jake Peppers will make his third start of the season Tuesday.

Fans are encouraged to park in the coliseum parking lot, athletics complex parking deck and the stadium parking deck. Additional parking is available in the Neville Arena lot.
 
Students who plan to utilize the new outfield viewing plaza in right center do not need to enter through the main student gate and may bring outside food and beverage into the space.
 
Students who wish to sit inside the ballpark (sections 111 and 58-73) must enter through the gate located behind home plate. Students will utilize their digital Tiger Card on their phones for entry. They may no longer enter through the gate located at the Tiger Terrace or down the right field, which has been moved approximately 30 feet from its original location.
 
All transactions for concessions and merchandise locations at Plainsman Park will be cashless (credit/debit and Tiger Cards only).
