AUBURN, Ala. – Gearing up for a weekend of individual play, a trio of Auburn golfers will head to Nashville, Tennessee to compete in the Mason Rudolph Championship at Vanderbilt Legends Golf Club Friday through Sunday.

"Mason Rudolph is a fantastic event that our guys are really looking forward to competing in," Tigers head coach Nick Clinard said. "The course is a fair test, and will be wet tomorrow but should dry out for rounds two and three. I expect scoring to be good, so the guys know they need to be aggressive when the course allows them to be."

Hitting the links this weekend will be junior C.J. Easley and sophomores Ryan Eshleman and Max Johnson.

For Easley, it will be his eighth outing of the year. The Oxford, Mississippi native has logged seven rounds at par or better this season and is averaging 72.33 strokes per round.

Easley's best performance of the season came in February's Amer Ari Invitational where he turned in a scorecard of 7-under to finish inside the top-25 in an elite field of competition.

Eshleman is set to make his third appearance of the season. The Birmingham, Alabama product has turned in a 4-under score at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate and a 1-under score at the Tiger Invitational up to this point.

Eshleman also leads the team with two eagles in only six rounds of play this season.

The third man up for the Tigers will be Johnson, who is set to play in just the second tournament of his early career. Hailing from Fairhope, Alabama, Johnson delivered a 3-over, 219 in his collegiate debut last month at the Tiger Invitational.

To win top honors, Auburn's trio will need to outplay athletes from Ball State, Cincinnati, Kennesaw State, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Mississippi State, RV Ohio State, Santa Clara, No. 13 Tennessee, No. 6 Vanderbilt, Virginia, West Virginia and Western Kentucky.

Johnson will lead off for the Tigers, teeing off from the 10th hole at 9:45 a.m. CT.
