BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The final SEC Freshman of the Week honor of the regular season was bestowed on Auburn forward Jabari Smith (Fayetteville, Ga.) as announced by the conference office on Monday.

It marked his sixth weekly award this season as he averaged 24.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in the Tigers' wins at Mississippi State (W, 81-68 OT) on March 2 and against South Carolina (W, 82-71) on March 5.

The rookie also earned a spot on The Sporting News All-America Second Team – the second-ever player in program history to receive a nod by the national publication next to Chuck Person in 1984-85 (Second Team).

Smith helped lead Auburn to the program's first outright regular-season title since 1999. The Tigers also captured a program-record 15th SEC win and turned in their first undefeated season (16-0) at home at Neville Arena.

For a third-straight SEC game, Smith reached double figures before halftime with 15 of his 21 points in the first half against the Gamecocks. It marked his 26th game in double digits this season and 13th 20-point outing.

In the team's road win at Mississippi State, Smith registered a game-high 27 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the field with three 3-pointers against the Bulldogs. He registered his fifth double-double performance at MSU with 10 rebounds.
