NORMAN, Okla. – Auburn men's golf sophomore J.M. Butler has been tabbed as the No. 15 collegiate golfer in the United States on the Arnold Palmer Cup Watch List, as announced by Golf Coaches Association of America on Thursday.

The rankings include all competitions through April 12. The top six golfers from the spring's final ranking from both the United States and International men and women shall be among the individuals selected to compete in the Palmer Cup.

The remaining six spots for the United States will consist of five committee picks, including at least one non-Division I golfer, and a coaches pick.

The GCAA will make an official announcement on Tuesday, April 19, naming the 12 men and 12 women who are selected to play in this year's event July 1-3 at the Golf Club de Genève in Vandœuvres, Switzerland.

Butler hopes to be the fourth Clinard-coached Tiger to compete in the event as three have previously played in the Palmer Cup. Jovan Rebula played in 2019 while Michael Johnson played in 2016 and Auburn assistant coach Blayne Barber played in both 2011 and 2012.

Auburn men's golf returns to action April 19-24 at the SEC Championships in Sea Island, Georgia.
