The No. 28 Auburn men's tennis concluded the regular season in a 6-1 loss at No. 5 Tennessee Sunday afternoon in Knoxville.

The Volunteers dominated in both doubles and singles. In doubles, Tennessee got a 6-1 win on court one and a 6-2 win on court two to quickly pick up the team point.

In singles, Finn Murgett, Tad Maclean and Raul Dobai won first sets for Auburn, but the Vols gained wins on courts 6, 1 and 2 to clinch the team win.

After the match was clinched, Murgett won a three-set match over Angel Diaz on court five by a 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 score. Maclean (10-4) and Dobai (12-10) both fell in third-set tiebreakers.

Auburn is 18-9 for the spring season, 5-6 in SEC play and ranked No. 28 in the latest ITA team ratings and No. 24 in the Tennis Channel/USTA Top 25. No. 5 Tennessee is 20-6 overall and 8-4 in SEC action.

Seventh-seeded Auburn will face 10-seed Ole Miss Thursday at 10 a.m. CT in its opening match of the SEC championship tournament at Georgia.
