- Threw 77 of his 110 pitches for strikes and hasn't allowed a walk in 18.1 innings dating back to the series finale at LSU on Apr. 2.

Auburn is tied for second in the SEC West and tied for fourth overall with an 8-7 record midway through the conference season … Saturday's series finale in Starkville marked the team's 13th come-from-behind win this season and its seventh one-run win … the team won six one-run games all of last season … it also marked the Tigers' 10th win away from home this season … Gonzalez, the reigning SEC Co-Pitcher of the Week, turned in his third straight quality start and fourth this season in the series finale … he is the first Auburn pitcher to throw back-to-back games of eight or more innings since Keegan Thompson threw back-to-back complete games against Arkansas (Apr. 4) and at LSU (Apr. 11) in 2015 … Bryson Ware threw out the potential tying run at the plate for the final out in the 3-2 win … it marks the first time an Auburn player threw out the potential tying run at the plate to end a game since May 19, 2012 when Creede Simpson did so in a 5-4 win against Florida … Sonny DiChiara continues to lead the league in batting average (.419), on-base percentage (.580) and slugging percentage (.857) … the senior also leads the league in on-base percentage (.573) during conference games … leadoff hitter Blake Rambusch leads the league in hits overall (56) and in SEC play (26) … Rambusch has reached base in 34 straight games and in 91 of 92 games dating back to the final 13 games of 2019.
