AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn swimming and diving program continued to bolster its 2022 signing class this week with the addition of Mihalis Deliyiannis, a graduate transfer from the University of Louisville.

Deliyiannis, a native of Georgia, swam for the Cardinals from 2018 to 2021 before taking this past year off. He qualified for the NCAA Championships individually his last two seasons and was a relay alternate in 2019. His best individual finish came at the 2021 NCAA Championships when he finished 28th in the 50 freestyle.

At the ACC Championships, Deliyiannis made the A Final in the 50 freestyle in 2020 and 2021 and was also a finalist in the 100 freestyle both years. He set career bests in the 50 free (19.25) at the 2020 ACC meet and in the 100 free (43.54) at the 2021 ACC meet.

Deliyiannis was a three-time selection to the All-ACC Academic Team while at Louisville and is on track to graduate in May. He'll join Auburn for the 2022-23 season.

Prior to his time at Louisville, Deliyiannis swam one season at Arizona State where he was a member of the Pac-12 Championship team with the Sun Devils.
