AUBURN, Ala. – After picking up its first SEC road series win of the season, Auburn softball (36-10, 9-9 SEC) was ranked across all four major polls for the 10th consecutive week while also earning its highest ranking of the 2022 season.
 
Auburn jumped two spots to No. 16 in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll to snag its highest ranking this season. Auburn held on to its No. 18 rankings in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25. The Tigers also remained at No. 19 in both the D1 Softball Top 25 and Softball America Collegiate Top 25.
 
In the latest NCAA Division I RPI rankings, Auburn fell four spots to No. 28.
 
The Tigers earned four wins over the week, including picking up a pair of wins over Mississippi State in Starkville. Sophomore Maddie Penta made history by becoming the first Auburn pitcher to surpass 200 strikeouts in a single season since 2010. Freshman Bri Ellis also moved into a tie for the SEC's lead in home runs. Her 18 homers this season ties Kasey Cooper for the program's freshman record.
 
Oklahoma remains the unanimous No. 1 team in the country for the 11th consecutive week. The Sooners hold a 42-1 record this season. A total of eight SEC programs were ranked in the latest polls. Joining the Tigers were No. 5 Alabama, No. 7 Arkansas, No. 9 Florida, No. 11 Kentucky, No. 13 Tennessee, No. 15 Georgia and No. 19 LSU.
