AUBURN, Ala. – Two Auburn women's tennis student-athletes earned a bid to the NCAA Championships as the singles and doubles selections were announced Tuesday.

Junior Selin Ovunc was selected to the NCAA singles field, and the tandem of Ovunc and sophomore Ariana Arseneault earned a berth in the doubles tournament.

It is the second straight NCAA selection for Ovunc, who advanced to the Round of 16 last season to become Auburn's second all-time All-American in singles. She was ranked No. 34 in the most recent ITA singles rankings and was an All-SEC First-Team selection after posting a 7-6 record in SEC matches. That conference mark included four straight wins over ranked opponents and an SEC Player of the Week nod in mid-April.

In doubles, Ovunc and Arseneault have been one of the nation's best teams, going 9-1 in SEC Play and 13-5 overall in the spring to earn a No. 10 ranking nationally. The pair earned three top-20 wins over the last month of the season. Arseneault was an All-American in doubles last season and competed in the NCAA Tournament.

The NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships begin May 23 in Champaign, Illinois, following the conclusion of the men's and women's team championships.

Auburn begins its NCAA Tournament run at home this weekend as Jackson State, Georgia Tech and Memphis visit the Yarbrough Tennis Center. The Tigers will face Jackson State at 1 p.m. CT Friday in the first round. Admission is free.
