AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn equestrian to add two more Jumping Seat riders to its 2022-23 incoming class, head coach Greg Williams announced Friday.
 
Coming to the Plains will be Holland Barnett (Lexington, Ky.) and Charlotte McLaughlin (Ottawa, Ontario).
 
HOLLAND BARNETT
Hometown: Lexington, Kentucky
High School: Lexington Catholic
Event: Jumping Seat
 
HIGHLIGHTS: Qualified for WIHS Children Jumper and finished in Top 12 … Two-time USHJA Zone 7 Horsemanship Challenge competitor … Qualified for the 2022 Markel/USHJA Zone Jumper Team Championship.
 
WILLIAMS THOUGHTS: "Holland comes to us with not only experience in competition, but with a true passion to advance the team. Auburn and the team atmosphere are what she loved so she is going to be an asset early."
 
CHARLOTTE MCLAUGHLIN
Hometown: Ottawa, Ontario
High School: Elmwood School
Event: Jumping Seat
 
HIGHLIGHTS: Top placings in 15-17 Equitation WEF 2021 … Represented Team Canada in Junior Jumpers at the North American Youth Championship 2021 … Top placings in the junior jumpers at WEF, Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, Kentucky Spring, Split Rock Jumping Tour, Hampton Classic.
 
WILLIAMS THOUGHTS: "Charlotte has the advantage of riding many different horses so she will be competitive coming in as a freshman. What I think is a fun fact is that she grew up a huge Auburn equestrian fan in Canada so this is a dream coming true for her."
