In 1997, Auburn softball competed in its inaugural season. Throughout the 2022 campaign, we are celebrating the many faces, moments and victories that have shaped our program over the last 25 years.
As part of our 25 Years of Auburn Softball celebration, we're checking in with alumni from every era of the program to share their memories of being a Tiger.
A beast in the classroom, Bree Fornis (2016-19) was a four-time SEC Academic Honor Roll selection and was twice named an NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete. Fornis appeared in over 184 contests for the Tigers.
Q: Why did you decide to continue your softball career at Auburn?
Fornis: Auburn felt like home. The traditions, fan base and engineering school sealed the deal for me.
Q: What was your favorite uniform combo?
Fornis: Icy Whites! (All white everything).
Q: What advice would you give to current/future Auburn softball student-athletes?
Fornis: Enjoy every minute of the journey! It definitely flies by (and adulting isn't that fun).
Q: What degree did you earn? What is your current career path?
Fornis: I earned a bachelor's degree in software engineering. I am currently a software engineer at Lockheed Martin. I am working toward my master's degree online at Auburn, too!
