AUBURN, Ala. – Two night games and a prime-time SEC-Big Ten showdown highlight Auburn's early 2022 football schedule, the SEC and ESPN announced Thursday.

The Tigers' season opener Sept. 3 vs. Mercer at Jordan-Hare Stadium kicks off at 6 p.m. CT, available digitally on ESPN+/SEC+.

Auburn hosts San Jose State Sept. 10 at 6:30 p.m. CT on ESPNU.

CBS will televise the Tigers' Sept. 17 home game vs. Penn State at 2:30 p.m. CT.

Auburn kicks off the 2022 season with five consecutive home games, hosting Missouri on Homecoming on Sept. 24 in the SEC opener and LSU on Oct. 1 before the Tigers' first road game at Georgia on Oct. 8.

Kickoff times and broadcast assignments for those games and the remainder of Auburn's schedule are generally announced 12 days before each game, with broadcasters occasionally waiting until the results of the preceding week's matchups to select games and assign times.
