AUBURN, Ala. – Nine of Auburn Athletics' 19 teams posted perfect 1,000 Academic Progress Rate scores for the 2020-21 scoring period, according to NCAA APR scores released Tuesday.
"These exemplary APR results are a testament to the commitment of our student-athletes, especially given the challenges and disruptions of the pandemic. We commend them for their resilience and dedication in the classroom," Director of Athletics Allen Greene said. "We also congratulate our academic support staff and coaches for helping develop well-rounded Auburn women and men."
Auburn teams earning single-year APRs of 1,000 were: women's golf, gymnastics, soccer, women's tennis, volleyball, equestrian, men's basketball, men's cross country and men's tennis.
Men's basketball earned a 1,000 APR score for the fourth consecutive year. The NCAA's APR evaluation observed a one-year hiatus in 2021 because of the pandemic.
The APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete on scholarship. The APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation and provides a measure of each team's academic performance.
