AUBURN, Ala. – The All-American honors continued for Auburn's Megan Schofill and Anna Foster this week. The duo was tabbed by Golfweek on Monday as part of their All-American teams for the 2021-22 women's college golf season.
Schofill was named Third Team All-American while Foster earned Honorable Mention All-American honors. The duo was also selected Honorable Mention All-American by the Women's Golf Coaches Association last month, and both were Second Team All-SEC selections following the SEC Championship in April.
At the SEC Championship, Schofill finished as the individual runner-up after setting the Auburn 54-hole record at the event with a score of 207. She shot under par in all three rounds of stroke play and tallied 14 rounds under par for the season, tied for second-most in program history. With 31 rounds under par for her career, the junior is fourth-most all-time at Auburn.
Schofill, who led the Tigers with a 72.35 stroke average on the season, had five top-20 finishes on the season and two in the top five, including the SEC Championship.
Foster was second on the team with a 72.36 season stroke average and finished just behind Schofill with 13 rounds under par, tied for fourth-most in a single season all-time at Auburn. The sophomore had a stretch from September to February where she shot nine consecutive rounds under par. She had a team-best six finishes in the top 10, including two in the top five, and was the team's top finisher at three different tournaments.
As a program, Auburn has now had at least one golfer make Golfweek's All-American teams in each of the last four seasons. This is the second time that two Tigers have been honored in the same season. Schofill and Kaleigh Telfer were HM selections following the 2019-20 season.
