Gregg Olson came to Auburn out of Omaha, Nebraska. He played for his Hall of Fame father through high school. At Auburn, he played for another Hall of Famer in Hal Baird. He was the American League Rookie of Year with the Baltimore Orioles. When he left the O's he was the franchise's all-time saves leader.
After his MLB career, he lived on the West Coast. Recently, Gregg and his family moved back to Auburn. He is a guest lecturer in the School Communication and Journalism and works for ESPN, the SEC and ACC Networks as an analyst for baseball telecasts. This summer he'll go to work as a baseball technical advisor for a series about the Field of Dreams.
