AUBURN, Ala. – For the third straight year, Auburn's Megan Schofill was selected to the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team, the organization announced Tuesday. The minimum GPA to be considered is 3.50.
Schofill has been a mainstay on the Dean's List at Auburn and has maintained a cumulative GPA above 3.80 in her three years on the Plains.
Schofill was also recognized by the WGCA as an Honorable Mention All-American for her performance on the course this season. The junior led the team in scoring average (72.35) and rounds under par (14) and earned two top-five finishes, including a runner-up finish at the SEC Championship where she shot 9-under to break the Auburn record at the event. She made Third Team All-American from Golfweek and was a Second Team All-SEC selection.
The last Auburn golfer to make the WGCA Scholar All-American Team three straight years was Kelli Murphy who did it four years straight from 2015 to 2018. Auburn has had at least one WGCA Scholar All-American in 14 of the last 15 years.
