AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn running back Tank Bigsby and edge defensive lineman Derick Hall have been named to the 2022 Preseason Coaches All-Southeastern Conference First Team, two of five Tigers earning All-SEC recognition Tuesday.
Defensive lineman Colby Wooden and punter Oscar Chapman were named to the second team, while kicker Anders Carlson earned third team recognition.
Hall and Bigsby also earned recognition on the 2022 preseason Media Days All-SEC first team.
The SEC freshman of the year in 2020, Bigsby rushed for 1,099 yards and 10 touchdowns as a sophomore in 2021.
In two seasons on the Plains, the 6-0, 213-pound junior has rushed for 1,933 yards and 15 touchdowns to rank No. 20 in Auburn career rushing.
Hall, a senior, registered nine sacks in 2021, including three in the Iron Bowl. In three seasons he's recorded 12.5 sacks among 17.5 tackles for loss.
A fourth-year junior, Wooden made 61 tackles last season, including five sacks and 8.5 tackles for loss. In career 28 games, he's made nine sacks, 18.5 tackles for loss and 107 tackles.
Chapman, a junior, ranked second in the SEC in punting in 2021, averaging 44.1 yards on 57 kicks, including 23 inside the 20-yard line.
Carlson, returning for his fifth season after recovering from knee surgery, has 67 career field goals, connecting at a 72 percent clip. He's added 151 points after touchodwns He's recorded 170 career touchbacks on kickoffs.
Auburn kicks off the season vs. Mercer at Sept. 3 at 6 p.m. CT at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The SEC begins the 2022 season this Saturday when Vanderbilt visits Hawaii.
