AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn equestrian team's path to another year of championships has been set as head coach Greg Williams announced the 2022-23 schedule.
Following the annual Blue vs. Orange Scrimmage (Sept. 30), Auburn kicks off the regular season on the road at Southeastern Conference rival Georgia. The two teams will face off on Oct. 7 in Bishop, Georgia at the UGA Equestrian Complex.
The team follows with a two-meet road weekend in California, Oct. 14-15. The Tigers start with a contest at UC Davis, Oct. 14, and then will head to Fresno State the next day.
Auburn returns to the Plains for its home opener, Oct. 22, hosting UT Martin at 11 a.m. CT at the Auburn University Equestrian Center. A road trip to South Carolina follows (Nov. 4) before the team hosts Texas A&M on Nov. 11 at 3 p.m. CT.
The Tigers close out the fall season with a tri-meet at home, welcoming Bridgewater and defending NCEA champion Oklahoma State to the Plains. Auburn will face off with Bridgewater in a Jumping Seat-only contest, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m. CT. The Tigers and the Cowgirls will go head-to-head at 3 p.m. CT on Nov. 18.
Spring 2023 opens with a trip to Texas as the team will travel to TCU (Feb. 3) and Texas A&M (Feb. 4).
Auburn closes out the regular season with three-straight home meets at the Auburn University Equestrian Center. The first is set for Feb. 18 vs. Georgia at 11 a.m. CT. The team will follow with another 11 a.m. CT contest on Feb. 25, hosting SMU. The regular season finale is set for March 3 at 3 p.m. CT vs. South Carolina.
The 2023 SEC Championship will be held March 24-25 in Blythewood, South Carolina and will be hosted by the Gamecocks. The 2023 NCEA Championship will be held at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida, April 13-15. Auburn will once again serve as host.
