Auburn senior Megan Schofill shot an even-par 72, which featured a team-best four birdies, to lead the Tigers on Monday in the opening round of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate at Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo, Minnesota.

As a team, Auburn sits in a tie for 10th place with rival Alabama with a score of 303 (+15). The two teams are 19 shots back of the leader Virginia. The Cavaliers shot 284 (-4) to take the 18-hole team lead.

Schofill's perfomance puts her in the top 10 individually in a tie for 8th. Elina Sinz started off the day strong, going 2-under through her first six holes, but ultimately posted a score of 76 (+4). Sinz was joined on the leaderboard by teammate Casey Weidnfeld, who also carded a 76 (+4), while Anna Foster finished the round with a 79 (+7).

On Tuesday, Auburn will be paired with Alabama and Minnesota and will be teeing off the back nine beginning at 8:05 a.m. CT. Live scoring for the tournament will be on Golfstat.com and on the GolfStat mobile app.
