The NFL is back. Auburn currently has 24 players on NFL rosters and several who are starting for their respective teams, including Tampa Bay cornerbacks Carlton Davis and Jamel Dean. The duo helped lock down Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys in week one.

BEST OF WEEK 1
Daniel Carlson, PK, Las Vegas Raiders
After leading the NFL in points last season, Carlson is back and determined to fill his role as the Las Vegas Raiders' star kicker. In week one, he did not disappoint. The fifth-year player made both of his field goal attempts, one from 55 yards out and the other from 23 yards away. He is now 14 of 17 on field goal of 50 yards or more since he entered the NFL in 2018.
Carlton Davis, CB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Davis once again earned a starting spot at cornerback for Tampa Bay, and his performance Sunday demonstrated why. He finished with five tackles and an in impressive pass breakup. He helped the Buccaneers limit Dak Prescott to just 134 passing yards and kept the Cowboys out of the end zone in a 19-3 victory. He drew the assignment of guarding CeeDee Lamb for a large portion of the snaps and held Lamb to just two receptions.
Jamel Dean, CB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
It was not just Davis who represented the Tigers well against the Cowboys on Sunday night. Teammate and fellow cornerback Jamel Dean recorded four tackles and a pass breakup while upholding the reputation of the Buccaneers secondary as one of the league's best. Like Davis, Dean had a huge hand in Prescott's difficulty finding receivers in week one. He started at the cornerback spot across from Davis, a job he won during the preseason.
Roger McCreary, CB, Tennessee Titans
It was a memorable week one for rookie cornerback Roger McCreary. Playing in his first NFL game, he got the start for Tennessee against the New York Giants and played 98 percent of the defensive snaps in his debut. Twenty-eight snaps came in coverage, and McCreary allowed only one catch for five yards. He also added two tackles. He became the 20th rookie for the Titans since 1999 to start a season opener.
