Women’s tennis set to compete in 2022 Fall Ranked Spotlight on Thursday

AUBURN, Ala. - The women's tennis team is set to have members compete in the 2022 Fall Ranked Spotlight beginning on Thursday in Cary, NC. Ariana Arseneault, Carolyn Ansari, Kaitlyn Carnicella and DJ Bennett will be traveling to the Old North State to represent the Tigers in the tournament.
 
Auburn will have players in the field along with Arizona State, Duke, Eastern Tennessee State, Kansas, Miami, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Princeton, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCF, USC, Virginia and host school NC State.
 
On Thursday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. CT, Arseneault and Ansari will play a doubles match against North Carolina's Fiona Crawley and Anika Yarlagadda. At 4:45 p.m. CT, Auburn freshman duo Kaitlyn Carnicella and DJ Bennett will battle East Tennessee State's Laylo Bakhodirova and Fernanda Carvajal in doubles play. The subsequent matches will depend on the results, as it is a bracket-style tournament.
 
In addition to the doubles tournament, each of the Tigers will also compete in a singles bracket-style tournament beginning Friday.
