Men’s tennis kicks off 2022-23 campaign at tournaments in Clemson and Nashville

AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn men's tennis team is set to begin the 2022-23 campaign this weekend at two different events. Auburn will travel six representatives to the Vanderbilt Fall Invitational in Nashville, Tenn. while two other representatives to travel to Clemson, SC for the Clemson Fall Invite. Both events will run Friday through Sunday.
 
Tyler Stice, Jan Galka, Alejandro Moreno, Raul Dobai, Will Nolan, and Finn Murgett will participate in the Vanderbilt Fall Invitational for Auburn. Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas and host Vanderbilt will also have players in the field.
 
The tournament will include three flights for both singles and doubles competition. The ITA preseason poll ranked Stice at No. 5 and placed Galka in a tie for No. 89 in the nation. Friday will feature one round of doubles followed by one round of singles starting at 9 a.m. CT, Saturday will have one round of doubles followed by two rounds of singles beginning at 9 a.m. CT, and the tournament will wrap up on Sunday with one round of doubles followed by one round of singles starting at 8 a.m. CT.
 
In Clemson, Josh Raab and Spencer Gray will be Auburn's participants. Other schools that will be represented in the tournament include UNC Charlotte, North Florida, Wisconsin and Presbyterian College. That tournament will be set up as a series of individual matches.
