AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn women's tennis team was picked to finish seventh in the Southeastern Conference in 2022 by a vote of the league's coaches, the SEC office announced Wednesday.

Auburn, which came in at No. 25 in the ITA preseason rankings released last week, went 14-9 overall and 7-6 in SEC play, finishing in a three-way tie for sixth in the final standings in 2021. The Tigers return seven letter-winners from last season.

Auburn opens the spring season Jan. 14-16 at the Carolina Kickoff in Columbia, S.C. The dual match season begins at home Sunday, Jan. 23, with a doubleheader against Furman and UAB at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.

The Tigers have 10 home dates on the schedule, including six SEC matches and a pair of home matches against ACC foes Georgia Tech and Clemson. Admission to all home Auburn tennis matches is free.
