AUBURN, Ala. – Extra Inning Softball released its Extra Elite 100 College Player Rankings earlier this week with sophomore Shelby Lowe earning a spot on the inaugural list.
Coming off an All-SEC performance her freshman season, Lowe was selected at No. 82. Lowe was one of just eight pitchers from the Southeastern Conference to be ranked in the Extra Elite 100.
Lowe was the workhorse of Auburn's pitching staff, appearing in 30 contests with 26 starts as a freshman. The Carrollton, Ala., native held a 1.48 ERA and posted 13 wins and a save. The left-hander fanned 179 batters and show command of the strike zone with just 28 walks. Three of her 15 complete-game efforts were shutouts. Lowe finished second in the league with a 6.39 strikeout-to-walk ration and 1.18 walks allowed per seven innings mark.
