Charlie Trotman, like his father, came to Auburn to play football. After a brief career in the USFL, Trotman settled into his career as a commercial developer. He received a call from Jim Fyffe gauging his interest in becoming the color analyst on the Auburn Football broadcasts. After winning a tryout at the A-Day game, Trotman began a partnership with Jim in the booth, broadcasting some of Auburn's most memorable games in the '80s and '90s.
Trotman is a master storyteller. Many of his stories center around growing up on his father's farm, south of Montgomery.
