BAYAMON, Puerto Rico – The Tigers have finished play at the Puerto Rico Hidden Duels that was held over the weekend in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Auburn traveled junior Adeline Flach, junior Anastasia Astakhova, and freshman Kaitlyn Carnicella to the event. Carnicella claimed three singles victories for the Tigers, winning a match on all three days of the tournament. Flach also had a singles victory on Saturday.
"We learned some valuable lessons in our three days here. To finish the way we did definitely doesn't sit well, but part of development is embracing a professional standard when it is most difficult to do so," Auburn head coach Caroline Lilley said after the tournament. "We lacked some maturity on Saturday and that bled into our matches on Sunday morning. We will improve, continue to work, and move forward with conviction."
The final event of the fall schedule will be the Thunderbird Invite hosted by Arizona State in Phoenix, Ariz. on November 4-6.
