AUBURN, Ala. – As one of only four undefeated teams in the country, Auburn Volleyball puts its perfect record on the line trekking over to Baton Rouge for a date with LSU. First serve on Wednesday is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT. The match will also be broadcast on the SEC Network.

QUICK HITS
Head coach Brent Crouch's crew added to its record-breaking season with its win on Wednesday versus Mississippi State. Auburn extended its program-record best start to 14-0 and its 3-0 mark in the SEC represents another program best for the Tigers.

No freshman was better than Akasha Anderson last week in the Southeastern Conference. Her career-high 26 kills and 10 digs were good enough for her fourth double-double of the season and gave the Reston, Virginia native SEC Freshman of the Week honors.

Fellow youngster Sarah Morton continues to flex her muscles at libero. The Munster, Indiana product tied her career-best with 25 digs in the five-set win over Mississippi State. Her 4.26 digs per set average rank second in the conference and top-100 in the Country.

Junior setter Jackie Barrett wasn't far behind the freshmen efforts. With 47 assists and 12 digs, Barrett recorded her third double-double of 2022.

Kendal Kemp led the Tiger's block party against the Bulldogs. Kemp rejected eight Mississippi State attacks, the second-most Kemp has recorded this season. Auburn's 15.0 total blocks were the main catalyst in securing the five-set victory, the Tiger's third of the season.

SCOUTING LSU
First-year head coach Tonya Johnson has already posted some impressive victories in her inaugural season on the Bayou. The Tigers opened SEC play with a win over Arkansas and backed it up three days later by taking town Kentucky in Lexington. Last weekend, LSU and Ole Miss needed 10 sets across two matches to separate the two with each program walking away with a victory.

Senior outside hitting Sanaa Dotson has easily been the most potent option for the LSU offense. The Oklahoma transfer leads the SEC in attacks per set (10.38), is fifth in kills per set (3.91) and second in total kills (227).

On the defensive side, sophomore Libero Ella Larking paces the SEC in digs per set (4.41) and total digs (256). Auburn will also have to keep an eye on 6'3" middle blocker Anita Anwusi, who is averaging 1.09 blocks per set in 2022.

AUBURN-LSU SERIES
Historically, LSU has enjoyed most of the success against Auburn, owning a 15-47 mark, including a 25-5 record in Baton Rouge. The Orange and Blue's last win in the series came in a five-set affair in 2016 at Neville Arena.

UP NEXT
Auburn returns to the Plains on Saturday, Oct. 8 for back-to-back matches versus Georgia over the weekend. Both Saturday's and Sunday's affairs are slated to begin at 4 p.m. CT.
