BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Junior guards Wendell Green Jr. (Detroit, Mich.) and K.D. Johnson (Atlanta, Ga.) earned preseason All-Southeastern Conference Second Team nods as the league office unveiled its 18th annual men's basketball coaches' preseason awards on Wednesday.

Johnson and Green Jr. are the team's top returning scorers averaging 12.3 points and 12.0 points per game last season. Both were part of making history as the Tigers earned the program's first-ever No. 1 ranking in the national polls and claimed a SEC regular-season championship title.

The coaches' preseason All-SEC first and second teams consist of a minimum of eight players on each squad, voted on by the SEC basketball coaches. No ties were broken and no predicted order of finish was made. In all, 36 different players received votes for the coaches' teams.
