AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn's Colby Wooden has been named the Southeastern Conference Defensive Lineman of the Week, the SEC announced Monday.

Wooden, whose fourth quarter strip sack of Texas A&M quarterback Conner Weigman created a turnover that led to a field goal Saturday in Auburn's 13-10 win, shares the honor with Alabama's Byron Young.

Wooden recorded three quarterback hurries and helped lead an Auburn defense that forced five consecutive three-and-outs in the second half while holding Texas A&M to minus-2 yards in the third quarter.

"I didn't want them to score," Wooden said. "That's the mindset of this whole defense. The stadium was electric. I'm happy for everybody."

Auburn returns to Jordan-Hare Stadium Saturday at 3 p.m. CT vs. Western Kentucky in the Tigers' home finale before next week's Iron Bowl.

"It's like a weight off our shoulders," Wooden said. "It feels so good to get a win, but we know we've got to get back to work."
