As Auburn softball continues to roll through the fall semester, a group of fresh faces are poised to make and instant impact and continue to take the program to the next level. Throughout the fall, we'll introduce the new members of Auburn softball as they prepare to put the Southeastern Conference and country on notice.
One of the top recruits in the country, infielder Axe Milanowski carried Houston Academy to the 3A State Championship with help of a school record 77 RBI. Tabbed the Alabama Sports Writers Association 2022 3A Player of the Year and First Team All-State selection, Milanowski is bringing her power at the plate to the Plains.
Q: What is your favorite homecooked meal?
Milanowski: Steak.
Q: What's currently your favorite social media platform to use?
Milanowski: Instagram.
Q: If Auburn softball could play in a tournament anywhere in the world, where would you'd like to go?
Milanowski: Australia. It looks like an interesting place to visit with lots of cool activities.
Q: What has been the highlight of your career thus far?
Milanowski: Winning the 3A high school state championship during my senior season.
Q: Describe your perfect piece of pizza.
Milanowski: A cheese pizza with extra cheese and light on the red sauce.
Q: How is Auburn different from your hometown?
Milanowski: It's actually pretty similar, which is why I like it so much. It's a little bigger than my hometown, but it's nice to walk around and still see people from home.
Q: What is your favorite holiday?
Milanowski: Christmas.
Q: Who is a celebrity you admire?
Milanowski: Adam Sandler.
Q: If you could have any animal as a pet, what would you pick?
Milanowski: I would want either a pet penguin or squirrel. They are unique pets that would be fun to take care of.
Q: If you had to switch sports for a week, what Auburn team would you join?
Milanowski: Soccer.
Q: Do you have any pregame rituals or superstitions?
Milanowski: I have to have a Coke before every game.
Q: What's your major? What do you plan to do with your degree following graduation?
Milanowski: I am a business major, and I plan to work at my family's car dealership.
Q: What is one movie that you could quote every line?
Milanowski: Mamma Mia. I used to watch it all the time with my grandma and cousins at the beach.
Q: What is your favorite dessert?
Milanowski: Chocolate ice cream. It's the best.
