No. 3 Tigers host Bridgewater, No. 7 Oklahoma State in fall finale

AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 3 Auburn equestrian team will close out the fall portion of the schedule this week, hosting Bridgewater and No. 7 Oklahoma State at the Auburn University Equestrian Center, Nov. 17-18.
 
The Tigers will take on Bridgewater on Thursday in a Jumping Seat-only contest starting at 11 a.m. CT. Bridgewater and Oklahoma State will follow at 1 p.m. CT. Auburn and the Cowgirls will face off in a full meet on Friday, beginning at 3 p.m. CT. Admission is free for both days.
 
"It'll be another great week on the Plains for our team," head coach Greg Williams said. "Friday will be a strong Big 12-SEC matchup, particularly with Oklahoma State coming off its first national championship last year. We will need to have strong rides in both arenas both days, but this team is more than capable of that."
 
SPECTATOR INFORMATION
Navy t-shirts will be handed out on Friday only while supplies last.
 
The Kid's Zone will be open on Friday only as well and will feature a bounce house, pony rides and pet-a-pony. In addition, kids who bring their fliers in from school will be entered for prizes.

AUBURN LINEUP VS. BRIDGEWATER
A handful of Tigers will get the starting nod for the first time this year in Auburn's Jumping Seat-only meet against Bridgewater on Thursday.
 
Riding for the Tigers in Flat will be senior Lindsey Klein, junior Samantha Briggs, sophomore Anna Marie Mayes and freshman Baylee Mckeever.
 
Competing for Auburn in Fences will be juniors Grace Pearson and Hallie Rush, Mayes and Mckeever.
 
AUBURN LINEUP VS. OKLAHOMA STATE
The Auburn lineup on Friday will look similar to the one from last week with an exception to Reining.  
 
Senior Ava Stearns and junior Ellie Ferrigno along with sophomore Mary-Grace Segars are set to lead the way on the Jumping Seat side of competition. Both Stearns and Ferrigno are undefeated in Fences at 6-0-0 with Segars standing at 6-0-0 in Flat. Ferrigno has a team-best four MOPs in Fences, while Stearns has two in Fences and Segars has two in Flat.
 
Fifth year Emma Kurtz has eight wins in Jumping Seat action and will compete in both Fences and Flat for the squad. Sophomore Sophee Steckbeck has four wins apiece in Fences and Flat.
 
The Flat squad is coming off a 5-0-0 sweep of Texas A&M last week.
 
The Horsemanship crew is full of experienced riders this week. Senior Maddie Spak has a team-best 6-0-0 record in the event with one MOP. Classmate Olivia Tordoff is currently enjoying a four-match winning streak and has taken home the last three MOPs in the event.
 
Junior Madison Parduhn and freshmen Caroline Fredenburg and Alexia Tordoff each have four wins on the year.
 
The Reining corps will be led by juniors Isabella Tesmer and Kate Buchanan. The pair have three wins so far, while Tesmer has the team's two top scores on the season.
 
Freshman Alexia Tordoff and junior Olivia Marino are also set to compete as Tordoff has three wins this year and Marino has one. Olivia Tordoff will make the first start of her career in Reining this Friday.
 
AUBURN-BRIDGEWATER SERIES
This will be the first meeting between Auburn and Bridgewater.
 
AUBURN-OKLAHOMA STATE SERIES
Auburn leads the series vs. Oklahoma State, 13-4.
 
The two teams last met on Oct. 15, 2021, seeing the Cowgirls upset the then-No. 1 Tigers in Stillwater.
 
Oklahoma State last traveled to the Plains on October 19, 2018. The Tigers bested the Cowgirls, 12-7.
 
UP NEXT
Auburn returns to action in February 2023, traveling to Texas for a pair of meets. The Tigers will take on TCU, Feb. 3, and will follow with a meet at Texas A&M, Feb. 4.
