STILLWATER, Okla.- Auburn junior Ryan Kinnane capped off his season finishing 89th at the NCAA Cross Country Championships Saturday at the Greiner Family OSU Cross Country course in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

"This was by far the most challenging course we ran all year," Tigers head coach Aaron Kindt said. "I thought Ryan did a great job staying composed and running his race."

In his NCAA Championships debut, Kinnane finished 89th of 255 (252 and 3 DNF) in a time of 30:09.5, the best individual finish by an Auburn man at the meet since Ty McCormack's 40th place finish in 2013.

"I am so proud of Ryan and the season he has put together this fall," Kindt said. "Excited that he was able to finish out the year with another fantastic performance."

Kinnane completed this season garnering 2022 USTFCCCA All-Region Team, 2022 SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Second Team All-SEC honors.

Charles Hicks of Stanford claimed this year's individual title while NAU won the men's team championship.
