Crouch inks two future Tigers on Signing Day

AUBURN, Ala. – Last fall, head coach Brent Crouch signed one of the most dynamic classes in Auburn Volleyball history. Wednesday, the third-year head coach added two more exceptional future Tigers to the program.
 
Virginia native Jasmine Okeoma and Mississippi product Lakin Laurendine will each make their way to the Plains next season, adding to what is already an impressive roster for the Orange and Blue.
 
"We are thrilled to welcome Jasmine and Lakin to the Auburn Family and volleyball program.  Both are A-plus people and talented student-athletes," said Crouch. "But what makes both Jasmine and Lakin special is their commitment to our culture, work ethic and values. They will fit right in and will push us toward our goal of permanently establishing a nationally recognized and competitive program."
 
LAKIN LAURENDINE
Hometown: Jackson, Mississippi
High School: Jackson Academy
Club: Infinity Volleyball Academy
Position: Outside Hitter
Height: 6-2
Highlights: First Team AVCA All-American… 2021-22 Mississippi Gatorade Player of the Year… MaxPreps Second Team All-American her junior season… MAIS Player of the Year… Led her team to a Midsouth Association of Independent School Championship… Tallied over 500 kills, 375 digs and 100 aces in her career while hitting .434… No. 1 ranked recruit from the State of Mississippi according to MaxPreps.com… Ranked as the No. 53 overall recruit in the nation by prepdig.com… Academic Honor Roll
Crouch on Laurendine: "Lakin is a well-rounded 6-rotation outside hitter.  The ability to perform all the fundamental skills at a high level is uncommon, and every elite team has at least a couple of these types of players."

JASMINE OKEOMA
Hometown: Woodbridge, Virginia
High School: Forest Park High School
Club: VA Juniors
Position: Middle Blocker
Height: 6-3
Highlights: Second Team All-District… Ranked as the No. 9 middle blocker in the State of Virginia according to prepdig.com…  Led Forrest Park High School in Blocks… Hit .422 her senior season… compiled more than 200 kills and 160 blocks, including over 60 solo efforts in her high school career… Academic Honor Roll
