AUBURN, Ala. – Hometown kid Conner Pruitt kicked off the Auburn Diving Invitational the only way he knew how, capturing the victory in the 1-meter with a 371.05.
The Opelika, Alabama product rolled into Saturday's finals after posting a 345.05 in prelims to qualify second. Cranking up the pressure inside the James E. Martin Aquatic Center, Pruitt was laser-focused to capture his second consecutive win in the event this season.
Sophomore Whit Andrus dialed up a solid performance as well. Andrus qualified third in prelims with a 337.00, his highest total of the season. A 329.30 gave him a fourth-place finish during finals.
Hunter Kebler and Walker Creedon also had decent days in the diving well, grabbing ninth and tenth, respectively.
