It was a significant week for Darius Slayton and the other players featured as their teams tried to lock down a playoff spot. All four are in the playoff mix.

That and more in this week's NFL rundown.

BEST OF WEEK 16

Montravius Adams, DT, Pittsburgh Steelers
Adams started for the fifth straight game and made the most of his opportunities. The sixth-year defensive tackle played on 16 snaps and made three tackles while earning an overall PFF grade of 73.6 – the second-highest grade on the Pittsburgh defense in Saturday's 13-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. The Steelers, as a defense, held Josh Jacobs and the Raiders to just 58 yards rushing on the day.

Carlton Davis, CB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
With the playoffs approaching, Davis has stepped up his game in recent weeks. After sticking Ja'Marr Chase last week, he locked down DeAndre Hopkins on Sunday night. Davis allowed just two catches on six targets for 16 yards. As for Hopkins, he finished with one catch for four yards. Davis also had four tackles, a tackle for loss and his 12th pass defended of the season as the Bucs picked up a critical OT win over the Arizona Cardinals.

Carl Lawson, DE, New York Jets
It was a relatively quiet week by Lawson's standards, but the Jets' pass-rusher still finished with three quarterback hurries and recovered his first fumble of the season against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Lawson earned an overall PFF grade of 68.8 and a pass-rush grade of 75.5, his highest since week five. Through 15 games, Lawson has 20 quarterback hurries, 41 total pressure and seven sacks. His pass-rush grade for the season is 70.3.

Darius Slayton, WR, New York Giants
Slayton produced yet again Saturday with four catches for 79 yards against the Minnesota Vikings. It was his seventh game this season with 60 or more receiving yards. His 44 yards after the catch were the second highest he's had all year, and all four of his receptions went for a first down. Slayton now has 44 catches for 710 yards for the season and needs just 52 yards receiving over the final two games to set a new personal single-season mark.
