AUBURN, Ala. – With its first Southeastern Conference sweep since 2019, Auburn softball (24-1, 3-0 SEC) saw its stock rise in the polls as the Tigers saw movement in two of the four major polls.
The Tigers saw their largest movement in the latest D1 Softball Collegiate Top 25, jumping two sports to No. 17. Auburn also rose one spot to No. 19 on the latest USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll.
Auburn held steady at No. 20 in both the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 and the Softball America Collegiate Top 25.
The Tigers jumped five spots in the latest NCAA Division I RPI rankings, holding at No. 10.
With a pair of come-from-behind victories over Texas A&M, Auburn is the only program in the league with a 3-0 record in conference play. The Tigers also hold the best overall record in the SEC. With its run production still over seven runs a game, Auburn ranks second in the SEC in both doubles and triples, third in slugging and runs scored, fourth in hits and home runs.
Oklahoma remains the unanimous No. 1 team in the country for the fifth consecutive week. A total of nine SEC programs were rankings, including No. 3 Alabama, No. 5 Florida, No. 8 Kentucky, No. 12 Arkansas, No. 15 Tennessee, No. 16 Georgia, No. 18 Missouri, and No. 20 LSU.
