AUBURN, Ala. – Coming off the program's first win over Florida since 2019, Auburn softball (29-6, 7-5 SEC) remained ranked across all four major softball polls for the seventh consecutive week.
 
Auburn remained at No. 17 in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll and the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25. Auburn shared its No. 17 ranking in the ESPN.com/USA Collegiate Top 25 with Clemson (25-10). The two programs were tied with 222 total points in the poll.
 
The Tigers slid one spot to No. 18 in the latest D1 Softball Top 25 and Softball America Collegiate Top 25. In the updated NCAA Division I RPI rankings, Auburn checked in at No. 17 for the second straight week.
 
Behind a pair of clutch homers and an incredible pitching performance by the sophomore duo of Maddie Penta and Shelby Lowe, Auburn took down No. 7 Florida, 3-1, to open the weekend series. It was Auburn's first victory over Florida since 2019 and the program's second win over a top-10 opponent this season.
 
Oklahoma remains the unanimous No. 1 team in the country for the seventh consecutive week as the Sooner remain undefeated with a 32-0 record. A total of nine SEC programs were ranked in the latest polls. Joining the Tigers were No. 5 Alabama, No. 7 Florida, No. 8 Kentucky, No. 10 Arkansas, No. 12 Tennessee, No. 15 Georgia, No. 21 LSU and No. 24 Missouri.
 
Auburn faces its third straight top-10 opponent in SEC play this weekend as the Tigers trek to Fayetteville for a three-game series at No. 10 Arkansas.
