AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn golfers Megan Schofill and Anna Foster were voted Second Team All-SEC by the league's coaches, the conference announced Thursday.
The duo has paced the Tigers all season. Following this week's NCAA Regional, both players have a 72.1 stroke average and both have shot 12 rounds under par on the season, tied for fourth-most all-time in Auburn history. They have played in a total of 19 tournaments and combined for four top-five finishes and 11 finishes in the top 20.
It's the second straight year Schofill has been named Second Team All-SEC. She was a First Team All-SEC recipient and made the SEC All-Freshman Team following the 2019-20 season.
Last month, Schofill finished runner-up at the SEC Championship after setting the Auburn 54-hole record at the event with a score of 207 (-9). The junior set a new career best in the fall, shooting 205 (-11) in The Ally at Old Waverly where she finished tied for third.
Foster, a SEC All-Freshman Team selection last year, had a stretch this season where she shot par or better in 12 straights rounds from September to February. During that stretch, the sophomore fired three straights rounds in the red in The Ally at Old Waverly to card a career-best 208 (-8) and earn her first career top-five finish.
On Wednesday, Foster matched her career 18-hole low with a 67 (-5) in the third round of the NCAA Regional, helping Auburn come from behind and secure a spot in the NCAA Championships. She finished tied for 10th, earning her sixth top-10 finish of the season.
The SEC also recognized sophomore Ashley-Sinclair Curtis on Thursday as a member of the 2022 SEC Community Service Team.
