NORMAN, Okla. – Auburn men's golf sophomore J.M. Butler and junior Alex Vogelsong were named PING All-Southeast Region, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced Wednesday.
 
For both men, the honor is the first of their careers and the 38th and 39th in school history.
 
Butler averaged a team-best 70.56 shots per round, which also ranked the 12th amongst SEC competitors. He led the Tigers in six tournaments, beginning with a program record-setting 17-under performance to open the fall at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate.
 
The Louisville, Kentucky product notched top-15 finishes in nine of eleven tournaments, carded 23 rounds at par or better, including 14 in the 60s, and earned a selection to the All-SEC Second Team.
 
Joining Butler as a team leader, Vogelsong averaged 72.16 shots per round, earned six top-15 finishes and posted 15 rounds at par or better.
 
Vogelsong also carried the torch for the Tigers with a seventh-place finish at the Hootie Intercollegiate.
