Orlando, Fla. – Auburn men's golf rising junior J.M. Butler was named to Golfweek's second team of All-Americans, Golfweek announced Monday.

The All-American nod is the second for Butler after being named a PING All-American last month following a remarkable sophomore season.

Butler kickstarted the year with an individual championship at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate, shooting 17-under 197 to smash the Auburn record for low 54-hole score.

Additionally, Butler led the team with top finishes in six of its yearly tournaments. His 70.56 scoring average ranks as the second-best in Auburn single-season history and was No. 12 in the Southeastern Conference this year.

The Louisville, Kentucky native also led the team in nearly every other statistical category throughout the season, including rounds below par (19), round in the 60s (14), birdies (140), and top-20 finishes (9).

Butler and the Tigers will return to action this fall after concluding the 2022 season with a top-10 finish at the NCAA Championship.
