What are you currently doing?
"I am a professional equestrian. I'm a rider and trainer at Carriage Hill Farms in Delray Beach, Florida."
Why did you decide to go pro after your time on the team?
"I knew before I even went to college that becoming a professional was my plan after school. I love this sport and the horses so much. I couldn't imagine my life without it!"
How did Auburn prepare you to be successful away from the Plains?
"Auburn taught me a lot of things. Meeting people and making connections with people in your industry is something that Coach Williams always told us was important. You can never have too many people on your side! Auburn also taught me the real meaning of teamwork and having everyone's back both on the good days and the bad days. Time management is something that we really had to learn and be in control of when we were on the team because we always had so many different things going on. Time management is something that's very important both in college and after graduation, especially if you want to get everything done."
What advice do you have for current and future Auburn equestrian riders?
"Take it all in! Auburn equestrian gives you so many resources that you take for granted until you leave and don't have them anymore. Your time there is short. Enjoy every minute of it and make the best of the time you have. AUET will give you friends for life so form those relationships with your teammates. It makes winning more fun!"
Who was your favorite horse at Auburn and why?
"My favorite horse at Auburn was Pilot. He was a super fun horse that I instantly bonded with. I drew him at all but one home meet my freshman year and won every point on him. I wanted to take him home with me when I left school!"
What does Auburn Family mean to you?
"The Auburn Family is a feeling that's hard to explain. You honestly need to be a part of it to know the true meaning. The support system from the entire Auburn community as well as athletics and the university is something that is so special. It truly is a family and it's a family I am part of forever."
