Gymnastics Rankings: Week 2

AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn gymnastics team enters the week at No. 7 per RoadToNationals.com. The weekly rankings are based on the average of all scores so far this season.
 
The Tigers are coming off another 197+ road score, earning a 197.200 at No. 2 Florida last Friday.
 
"It's great to see that we can still be ranked so high after two road meets," head coach Jeff Graba said. "Most of our competitors have been at home at least once so far this year. Being good on the road is important to us, so the ranking means a lot in that respect."
 
This week's top has Oklahoma at No. 1 (197.925) and Florida at No. 2 (197.788). Michigan is third (197.763), UCLA is fourth (197.563) and Utah ranks No. 5 (197.513).  
 
The rest of the Southeastern Conference is among the top 25 – Kentucky (No. 9), Alabama (No. 11), Missouri (No. 12), LSU (No. 13), Georgia (No. 17) and Arkansas (No. 25).
 
Auburn ranks third nationally on vault with a 49.363. The squad ranks tied for sixth on bars (49.325) and seventh on beam (49.263) and floor (49.325).
 
Individually, sophomore Sunisa Lee is fifth in the all-around at 39.638. The St. Paul, Minnesota product is tied for third on beam with a 9.938 and tied for 10th on bars (9.925).
 
Fifth year Derrian Gobourne is tied for fourth nationally on vault, having a 9.925 average. She's also tied for seventh on floor at 9.925.
 
The Tigers kick off their home schedule on Friday, January 20 when they host the Arkansas Razorbacks. The meet is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Neville Arena and will be televised on SEC Network.
