It's time to meet the Auburn equestrian freshman class as we bring you Q&As with the newcomers.
Today's feature is Baylee Mckeever who hails from Brewster, New York! She is a Jumping Seat rider that is majoring in business.
Q: Why Auburn?
A: "I chose Auburn for its beautiful campus and the team."
What is your major and what do you hope to do with it after college?
"My major is business, and I don't have a plan for after school yet."
What is your favorite Auburn tradition so far?
"One of my favorite Auburn traditions is when the eagle flies around the stadium before kickoff."
What are you most excited about this season?
"I am most excited for championships this season because I feel like they will be exciting."
How are you managing being on the equestrian team and your class load?
"Managing classes and the team can be challenging. However, if you keep track of them both it can be okay."
What is your favorite thing to do in Auburn?
"One of my favorite things to do at Auburn is to go to the football games. It is a great atmosphere to be a part of."
What was your favorite class you took this past semester?
"My favorite class I took last semester was forestry because it was just very interesting."
What horse is your favorite to ride for Auburn?
"My favorite horse to ride is Chippy. He is very enjoyable."
What is your favorite memory with the equestrian team thus far?
"My favorite memory on the team so far is when we won all our home meets in the fall."
What does 'War Eagle' mean to you?
"To me, 'War Eagle' means family."
What is the movie you could watch for the rest of your life and why?
"I could watch Finding Nemo for the rest of my life. I find it such a classic and entertaining movie."
What was the name of your first pony and what is your favorite memory from that time?
"My first pony was one called Polly Pocket. One of the most vivid memories I have of her was going on long walks together."
