AUBURN, Ala. – The first dual match of the 2023 season for the 15th ranked Auburn women's tennis team is slated for Friday at noon CT against No. 22 Iowa State. The match will also serve as the team's home opener at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.

The Tigers enter their first dual match of the season with high expectations coming off of one of the best seasons in program history a year ago. The Tigers matched the program's deepest postseason run as they advanced to the round of 16 and made it to the NCAA Super Regional in Austin, Texas. Auburn finished the season with a 22-6 overall record and set the mark for the best SEC record in school history at 11-2.

Ariana Arseneault and Carolyn Ansari were both very impressive in dual matches in 2022, as Ansari went 20-6 in singles dual matches and 17-7 in doubles dual matches while Arseneault posted a 18-6 singles dual match record and a 14-5 doubles dual match record.

Auburn will have some new faces around the court on Friday, as freshmen Kaitlyn Carnicella, DJ Bennett and Angella Okutoyi will enter their first collegiate dual match while Ali DeSpain will be representing the orange and blue for the first time in a dual match.

The action is set to begin on Friday at noon CT at the Yarbrough Tennis Center outdoor courts and admission will be free. Complementary donuts and Auburn tennis keychains will be given to fans in attendance. Live video and live scoring of the match will be available on AuburnTigers.com.
