AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn unveiled its Fall 2022 PNC Achievers on Friday with David Edmondson (Track & Field) and Adeline Sabados (Gymnastics) receiving the prestigious honor through the PNC Achievers program.

The program celebrates achievement among student-athletes and showcases student success through its honors and recognition program. A male and female student-athlete are recognized each semester for their well-rounded achievement through leadership, academic success, community engagement and in competition.

Edmondson, a senior on the men's track & field team, currently serves on Auburn's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as the Chairperson for the Equity & Inclusion Sub-Committee. He's been a CONNECT Leader since 2020 and has made the Dean's List each of the last three years. He's also a member of various honor societies such as Chi Alpha Sigma, Pi Tau Sigma and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

"It is a great honor to be selected for this award that I've seen many of my counterparts and my mentor in Diversity and Inclusion receive," Edmondson said. "I appreciate that my work in track and field, engineering, the community, leadership in SAAC, specifically in Diversity and Inclusion, and the CONNECT program has been recognized. It has been fulfilling giving back to my Auburn community, and the lessons I have learned through these experiences have and will definitely shape my future."

Like Edmondson, Sabados has also been heavily involved with SAAC. The junior on the gymnastics team is currently the SAAC President for the 2022-23 academic year after serving as Vice President the year before. She was also named to the 2022 SEC Community Service Team and made the SEC Academic Honor Roll each of the last two years.

"It is such an honor to be awarded the PNC Achiever Award," Sabados said. "This award is a testament to what the Auburn Family truly means, and I am so glad I have been able to give back to the community that has given me so much."

Edmondson and Sabados will both be recognized on the court at Neville Arena during the men's basketball game against Texas A&M on Wednesday, Jan. 25.
